Our Family

Life on Yoder Family Farms is truly a blessing because we all get to work together as a family. What started in 2010 with brothers Jeffery, Jeremy, and Michael Yoder in Trinidad, CO, has now grown into a family business that includes Jeff’s wife Nosipho and his four children, as well as the brothers’ parents Alvin and Anna.

That’s three generations of Yoders taking care of each other, dedicated to taking care of you and your family.

Like any good family collaboration, everyone brings a little bit of experience to the table: Alvin and Anna ran a dairy farm in the early days of their marriage, and in 2003 Jeremy and Michael began farming with a more organic, sustainable approach. All of their paths converged when everyone moved from Pennsylvania to Colorado, where the family dedicated themselves to farming naturally and sustainably.

Producing healthy, quality products for our friends and neighbors is our top priority, along with preparing our farmland for generations of Yoders to come. Farming is what we love, and we get to do it with those we love most. You just can’t beat that.

Our Farm & Products

As a way to remain sustainable, Yoder Family Farms’ crops are milled on-site, then fed to our chickens. Also, some of our alfalfa is fed to our goats, which produces great fertilizer that goes right back into the farm. It’s not complicated stuff. In fact, that’s how farming has always worked.

In addition to corn, alfalfa, and chicken feed, we’ve now moved into producing and selling various cheeses and pinto beans, which are available for purchase online. With the purchase of Philpott Goat Dairy just up the road, we’re offering goat cheeses in a variety of flavors, including Original, Jalapeño, Red Chili, Pueblo Chili, Olive Pimento and Garlic & Basil. The Philpotts have been making cheese for 36 years, and we’re proud to continue their tradition of making all-natural goat cheeses from raw milk, using their original Italian recipe.
